New England based Velocity Results provides full service finish-line timing and results for cycling and running races and events, as well as USATF running course certification.  As a former bike racer and the founder and promoter of Northampton’s Hot Chocolate Run -- a 6000 participant charity event that raises over half a million dollars -- owner/operator John Frey has a deep understanding of the needs of promoters and what it takes to put on a successful event.  Since its founding in 1999, Velocity Results has provided timing and results to over 900 events and races, including:

  • The USA Cyclocross National Championships

  • Green Mountain Stage Race

  • Gran Prix of Gloucester

  • Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage

  • Bermuda Grand Prix

  • The Deerfield Dirt Road Randonnée (D2R2)

  • The New England Marathon Challenge

Our specialized results equipment includes Finish Lynx high-speed cameras, an Agee chip timing system, large display timing clocks, and customized results software. With this specialized, state-of-the-art equipment, we are able to provide affordable, fully automated timing for all participants, no matter how large the event. For all events, results are both printed for onsite posting and immediately posted online.

Velocity Results also provides USATF course certification services, which ensures course accuracy and is required for road running performances to be accepted as a record or be nationally ranked.  We have measured, mapped and certified over 65 courses since 2010.
